Currently I am a Junior Architectural Designer, working on my IDP hours and in the process of validating my credentials with NCARB.
Prior moving to Miami, I was studying at the University of Tokyo in Japan, where got the chance to work on projects with a variety of scales, some of them at Kengo Kuma and Associates, while doing my research "Tokyo Tweetscapes" as part of my Graduate thesis. This helped me experience and understand in depth the Japanese architecture with its contemporary components and philosophy, also to see the tie between pureness and simplicity with its local craftsmanship.
More recently here in Florida I've being working on Educational Architecture and Public Facilities, from small renovations to new constructions, involved in all the phases of their production, from fixing the scope of work and developing the construction documents to coordinating with the contractor.
Hence I am interested in ways to do architecture blending both philosophies, the oriental and occidental, to create a more universal language, purer in its aesthetics.
